ASACP
Adult Sites Against Child Pornography (ASACP) is the organization
that helps
the adult site industry make a difference in the battle against
child
pornography. Helmy Enterprises established ASACP in 1996.
ASACP has grown to become the largest (second after National Center
for
Missing and Exploited Children) and well-known anti-child pornography
movement on the web. Over 4700 adult sites, including some of
the largest
and most prominent ones including: AVN Online, XBiz, Sex.com,
Epoch,
MaxCash, ARS, TopBucks, SilverCash, Video Secrets, ATK, OrgasmCash,
Klixxx,
Adam & Eve, CapitalBucks, NicheBucks, PlatinumCash, Python
and Cybersocket
have joined their cause in raising awareness about this subject.
ASACP currently receives over 4,000 reports of suspect child pornography
a
month. It has investigated and assisted the FBI-LA in enforcing
anti-child
pornography laws against thousands of child pornography sites.ASACP
offers two unique advantages over alternative methods of reporting suspected
child pornography:
1. Being closely involved with the adult site industry, ASACP
can more
knowledgeably cull through submitted reports and only pass on
valid illegal
sites to the authorities.
2. ASACP believes that the general public and adult site webmasters
feel
more comfortable reporting sites to ASACP than to governmental
agencies.
ASACP recently spoke at the INHOPE.org conference in Luxembourg
- see
attached presentation.

ICRA
ORGANIZATION RSACi & ICRA Now known as the leading organization
protecting the internet The Internet Content Rating Association is an international,
independent organization that empowers the public, especially parents, to
make informed decisions about electronic media by means of the open and
objective labelling of content. ICRA's dual aims are to: protect children
from potentially harmful material; and to protect free speech on the internet. There
are two elements to the system: Web authors fill in an online questionnaire
describing the content of their site, simply in terms of what is and isn't
present. ICRA then generates a Content Label (a short piece of computer code)
which the author adds to his/her site. Users, especially parents of
young children, can then set their internet browser to allow or disallow
access to web sites based on the objective information declared in the label
and the subjective preferences of the user. The ICRA system can be used with
Microsoft's Internet Explorer immediately, with wider applications under
development. The existing RSACi labels can continue to be used in both Internet
Explorer and Netscape Navigator but will be phased out over time.
